Mastermind Group

Part of our Boxed Scouts course.

In these Masterminds we will work in peer groups to work through our challenges and come up with solutions to these. This is a great time to connect with fellow members and engage in a problem-solving technique that encourages trust and support.

Agenda:
1. How are you feeling – one word
2. 3 new learnings – 10min
3. Group work (set groups of 4 or 5) 30 minutes

  • Prep: Who will share problem, Nominate a host to take notes, nominate a timekeeper to start the timer – 2 minutes
  • Sharer: Shares problem – 5 minutes
  • Host shares notes – 2 minutes
  • Group: Asks open questions to gain a better understanding of challenge and clarify the issues (no leading questions or advice offering yet) – 10 minutes
  • Host to share understanding of challenge based on the questions and answers – 2 minutes
  •  Host invites Sharer to identify what they’ve learnt so far – 2 minutes
  • Sharer invites ideas, advice and inspiration from the group – 4 minutes
  •  Host invites Sharer to identify 1-3 actions they will commit to doing by the next session – 3 minutes

4. Closing notes and questions – 10min
