« All EventsLeaders committed to making an enduring impact understand the significance of heart-centred, authentic leadership. Join us for 8 weeks on Zoom, with just 1.5 hours per week, and become the leader you’ve always aspired to be.
Lay the groundwork for authentic leadership by exploring its key tenets. Develop a clearer understanding of what it means to lead from the heart and how it impacts your work environment. In this introductory week, you’ll go into the qualities that form the backbone of heart-centred leadership, setting the tone for the rest of the course. You’ll also examine how incorporating these traits can catalyse a positive shift in workplace culture and dynamics.
Engage in activities that help you identify and question your core values, empowering you to align them closely with your leadership style. The week aims to help you introspectively identify what drives your decisions and behaviours. By crystallising these values, you can better understand how they align with or diverge from your existing leadership approach.
Learn how to identify and meet emotional needs in your leadership roles. You will come away with a plan to create stronger emotional bonds that enhance team performance. This week focuses on understanding the emotional underpinnings of a team’s dynamics, allowing you to form more meaningful relationships. These connections often result in improved collaboration and a greater sense of commitment within the team.
Explore your comfort zones and challenges related to honesty. Understand scenarios where honesty is pivotal and create your own ‘honesty pledge’. The objective here is to scrutinise the situations where being honest may be difficult but is crucial.
Through trust-building activities, understand the nuances of gaining and sustaining trust within your team and with stakeholders. This week will explore the mechanics of trust, which is an often-overlooked but essential factor in leadership. You’ll learn actionable ways to build, maintain, and, if necessary, rebuild trust in various relationships essential to your role.
Take a self-assessment on humility and learn how to balance humility with authority in leadership, enabling a more inclusive and accepting work environment. This session is designed to cultivate a leadership style that inspires respect without resorting to authoritarian methods. You’ll gain insights into how showing vulnerability and acknowledging your own shortcomings can actually strengthen your leadership.
Investigate various feedback mechanisms and set up an effective feedback loop within your team to enhance communication and growth. This week will teach you how to establish channels for constructive criticism, both given and received, within your team. It highlights the importance of feedback for continuous improvement and how to make it a routine part of your team’s operation.
Recap what you’ve learned and form a forward-looking action plan, while creating accountability partnerships to ensure your continuous development. In the final week, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on the growth and insights gained throughout the course. Creating accountability partnerships will also serve to keep you on track as you continue your leadership journey beyond the course.
