Enhancing Presence through Mindful Exploration.

Wanderlust is designed for us who desire to cultivate a deep sense of presence in our day-to-day lives, yet yearn for the exhilaration of travel and exploration. It’s an ideal course for individuals seeking to enrich their daily experiences by integrating the spirit of travel into their routine, even when physical travel isn’t possible. This course is for you if you’re new to mindfulness, seeking innovative ways to embrace it, or if you wish to live more fully in the present moment, appreciating the beauty of the here and now.

The benefits of this course are profound and far-reaching. The act of merging mindfulness with the essence of wanderlust allows us to discover the joy of travel in our everyday lives, turning familiar surroundings into exciting landscapes waiting to be explored. Wanderlust cultivates a mindset where every moment is an opportunity for a new journey, enhancing the ability to live fully and joyfully in the present.

The Wanderlust group coaching course takes place over Zoom and is broken up into 10 sessions. Over the course of 10 weeks we will cover the following topics:

1Mindfulness and the Spirit of Wanderlust

Embark on an extraordinary journey without leaving the comfort of your home. In this session, you’ll explore the concepts of mindfulness and wanderlust and their interconnectedness. Experience a mindfulness activity by visualising a favourite travel destination, setting the foundation for our exploration.

2Discovering your Inner Wanderlust

Deepen your understanding of your personal sense of wanderlust by reflecting on past travel experiences. Engage with your past by journaling about your memories and create a wanderlust wishlist. Your past adventures will fuel your inner wanderlust and enrich your mindfulness practice.

3The Art of Mindful Seeing

Learn to look at your surroundings with a fresh perspective, as if you’re a traveller in your own home. Develop techniques for mindful observation and capture your world through photography or sketching, developing a deeper connection to your environment.

4Mindful Eating - A Global Journey

Embark on a culinary adventure from your own kitchen. Discover mindful eating and how the meals you prepare can connect you to different places and cultures. Cook a meal inspired by a desired travel destination and savour it mindfully.

5Mindful Listening – Sounds of the World

Experience the world through sound. Learn about mindful listening and how tuning into sounds can mentally transport you to different locations. Create a playlist of sounds or music from various parts of the world that resonate with your sense of wanderlust.

 

6The Magic of Scent and Mindful Smelling

Delve into the powerful world of scents. Discover how various fragrances can evoke different places and create a sensory journey with spices, oils, or other items available at home.

7Touch - The Tactile Experience

Experience the world through the sense of touch. Explore different textures around your home and see how they connect to your travel experiences or aspirations, deepening your sense of connection to the world.

8Mindful Movement and Adventure at Home

Integrate movement into your mindfulness practice and create an atmosphere of adventure within your home environment. Take part in mindful movement exercises that encourage a sense of exploration and adventure.

9Integration – The Staycation Experience

Apply all you’ve learned to create your perfect mindful staycation. Design a day-long itinerary that allows you to ‘travel’ while staying in. Experience the joy of travel without stepping out of your home.

10Reflecting on the Journey and Moving Forward

Reflect on your experiences throughout the course, the lessons learned, and how you’ve grown. Discuss how these mindfulness techniques and the spirit of wanderlust can be integrated into daily life. Look ahead to continuing your mindfulness journey in the spirit of wanderlust.
